Event: The IGA's Annual General Meeting
Dear Members,
The IGA's Annual General Meeting will take place, subject to confirmation, in the Geological Survey of Ireland (Beggars Bush, Dublin 2) at 6:30 pm on Wednesday February 4th, 2015. This is the opportunity for all members to vote for the committee for 2015; hear statements from the current 2014 committee on what happened during 2014 and the present status of the IGA; and to make any comments, queries or suggestions that you, as a member, would like to raise.
Non-members are very welcome to attend the AGM itself; but only members can submit nominations beforehand or vote.
The committee positions for which nominations are sought are the following:
President
Vice-President
Excursions Secretary
Treasurer
Grants Secretary
Minutes Secretary
Website (and/or Communications) Coordinator
Galway Representative
Cork Representative
Ordinary Member
All nominations should be submitted by December 30th, 2014, and the final list will be circulated in the first week of January, 2015 in preparation for the AGM itself on February 4th. If there is more than one nomination for a position (except Ordinary Member), a vote will be taken.
This is your IGA .... so please do feel free to contribute and participate. Your input will always be welcome.
